Cornelia is a passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable Educational Psychologist who has occupied various managerial and therapeutic positions during the past 27 years. Her vast experience within the field has enabled her to gain invaluable knowledge, including how the different disciplines in a multi-disciplinary team interact and complement each other and how they contribute to a holistic understanding of a child. She possesses well-developed and effective therapeutic and managerial skills. Cornelia is an excellent change agent who formulates a clear vision of the future and develops useful operational strategies. She has also explored and provided effective therapy on various virtual learning platforms.

 

Cornelia always strives to make a positive difference in the lives of children and parents. One of her outstanding characteristics is the high degree of empathy that she has for people in need. This does not, however, prevent her from reasoning in a logical fashion, being objective when considering or assessing each child, identifying areas of concern, and applying effective problem-solving skills. She also acknowledges the importance of recognising diversity in many aspects and is committed to meeting the child and parent on their terms and provide them with the required guidance.

 

Cornelia believes in the value of continued professional development and has gained extended knowledge in her field of speciality. This has not only enabled her to disseminate the most relevant information to parents but also to apply this knowledge in her interaction with children and parents, which is one of her passions in life.
