
Cornelia has gained valuable skills, knowledge and therapeutic- and guidance experience over a period of almost three decades while working at schools with a diversity of clients from different cultures, backgrounds, belief systems and areas of difficulty. This has made her aware of the importance of acknowledging differences in, for example, needs, learning styles and perceptions.
Since she has been employed in both government and private schools for learners with special needs, she has both theoretical and practical knowledge of dealing with children with ADHD, Anxiety, ASD, ODD, OCD, Dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
Cornelia has been offering and co-ordinating parent support groups for many years. She can discuss a wide range of relevant topics and she possesses outstanding parent engagement skills. She excels in addressing difficult issues with parents and providing appropriate guidance.
Having extensively worked in and with multi-disciplinary support teams, Cornelia has vast knowledge of the different fields of speciality intervention that exist, how these different areas complement each other and how they can be integrated to address the special needs of individual learners.
Cornelia also has much experience of dealing with learners who are subject to developmental, social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
